Spring Volunteer of the Quarter: Douglas Whitley

Hi team,

A big thank you to our Spring Volunteer of the Quarter SGT Douglas Whitely!!!

Douglas has provided baked goods to the USO Clay center twice a week, every week for 3 months, he also works within our centers multiple times a month each month as a center representative, and doesn’t stop there, he is always participating in many of our USO programs and volunteer initiatives each month; for example, the 102nd Signal New Year’s Reception, Super Bowl BBQ with BOSS, Trivia League, and the Black History Month Bowling Event.

Douglas embodies our core values of being Mission 1st, being a service member himself he is passionate about serving the USO mission and is always prepared to provide excellent customer service to all who enter our centers. He brings Excellence in everything he does from properly cooking delicious food during programs to assisting with preparations for programs, to going above and beyond to recruit new volunteers. Douglas is always willing to work with other organizations and getting other community members involved.
